I’m a mechanical engineering student at California State University, Chico. Currently, I’m working on a senior capstone project sponsored by the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. This project involves exploring novel methods of sample delivery for XFEL crystallography. Previously, I served as the Vice President of Chico State’s Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) chapter. In this role, I mentored students and coordinated various technical projects.
I’m a maker at heart, and I grew up during the maker movement of the early 2010s. You can find a selection of my projects below, with some associated musings. I aspire to be proud of the things I make and put my name on, which means that I often revisit old projects to add just a bit more polish.
Outside of the classroom and my nascent professional career, I'm an avid cyclist, less-than-great musician, and very particular about my tea. You might find me hanging out with a stray cat on campus, or chasing a chicken with a camera in a parking lot. Otherwise, I’m looking for new things to do and figuring out where I'm headed after graduation.
